sharing music with children, established herself as a folk musician and
singer-songwriter for adults with two of her own recordings. She completed
three cross-Canada tours, performing at folk clubs, coffee houses, and
festivals. Venues included the Winnipeg Folk Festival (link) (Manitoba),
Calgary Folk Club (Alberta), Saint John Folk Club (New Brunswick),
Summerfolk (Owen Sound, Ontario), Festival of Friends (Hamilton, Ontario),
Northern Music Circuit (British Columbia), and many more. She was one of
the original founders of the Harbour Folk Society in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she resides. Her studies include voice, guitar, classical
piano, dance, and improvisational theatre. She received training in
working with children in the San Francisco-based troupe, Mother Goose,
Inc., and has worked also with the Gargoyle Puppet Troupe in Halifax. She
was a co-founder of "Rosie and Sandy's Kids' Entertainment Company," where
she has gained many years of experience with children, presenting puppet
shows and children's music. Since 1990, she has been a full-time member of
RAZZMATAZZ FOR KIDS, writing songs and performing for children in schools,
festivals, and special events.
