Gordon Stobbe is well-known as the co-creator, musical director and host of the long-running TV variety program, "Up Home Tonight" on ATV. His expertise is in traditional music, especially North American fiddle styles, playing fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and clawhammer banjo. He is a composer, a teacher, and leads master class fiddle workshops. He has performed with many musical configurations, including the Ladies Choice Bluegrass Band, as well as appearing in Neptune Theatre's productions of Foxfire and Fiddler on the Roof. He also toured for five years with NDWT, a Canadian theatre company, and hosted a weekly Bluegrass radio program for 12 years. Gordon has recorded with many artists across Canada, has made many radio and television appearances, and has been commissioned to compose and record scores for CBC radio drama. He teaches fiddle at the Canadian Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Halifax, and is a repeat guest instructor at the Emma Lake Fiddle Camp in Saskatchewan. He has published four fiddle instruction books, an instruciton CD, and a recording of his own fiddle compositions. He has been a member of RAZZMATAZZ since 1995.
